Stepping Strong Marathon Marketing

I served as the lead designer and created the digital strategy for the Marr Marathon Program at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, helping translate its mission into a compelling and accessible online experience. My work spanned web design, email development, and platform integration, with a focus on supporting fundraising efforts, improving user experience, and engaging runners and donors through thoughtful, on-brand digital campaigns.

    • Designed mobile-friendly, accessible web pages and campaign landing experiences for each race season

    • Built 3 standalone microsites tailored to specific campaigns, featuring event details, registration, storytelling, and donation tools

    • Created branded participant hubs with fundraising resources, live progress tracking, and team-based dashboards

    • Configured and integrated the Blackbaud TeamRaiser platform to support peer-to-peer and team fundraising

    • Led the migration of the legacy MAR website into the updated Brigham CMS, improving structure, branding, and content organization

    • Ensured visual and UX consistency across microsites, forms, and participant tools by following Brigham's digital brand guidelines

    • Developed and coded responsive Adobe Marketo email templates with modular content blocks for easy customization

    • Built personalized, multi-step email journeys to engage runners, team captains, and donors throughout each race cycle

    • Used storytelling, segmented content, and strong CTAs to drive engagement, donations, and event participation

    • Collaborated with the development and communications teams to align messaging across web, email, and social media

    • Created race-specific landing pages on the Giving site to highlight stories, thank donors, and promote fundraising milestones

    • Supported broader Giving Day and hospital campaign efforts by aligning MAR’s digital presence with institutional priorities
